The Library

The library plays a prominent role in developing literacy and promoting reading for pleasure.

Librarian: Mrs Claire Roberts
Opening times: 8.30am - 3.45pm

Our school library is at the heart of Neston’s reading community and central to our ethos of ‘Reading for All’. Located on the first floor, it offers a wide range of resources to support both study and reading for pleasure for all students and staff.

The Library is open from 8.30am - 3.45pm, including break and lunch. It is a welcoming space where students can read, study, use computers, catch up with friends, do mindful colouring, or find their next book. Key Stage Three students also have fortnightly library lessons as part of their English curriculum.

We regularly host author visits, book signings, visits to libraries and booksellers, interschool quizzes and much more which are popular and help foster a love of reading.

As a whole-school resource, the library plays a key role in promoting a love of reading across the school and wider community.

Sora and Accessit are used daily in the Library and are important tools for our students to develop reading and literacy skills.

Sora

Sora - Explore

Sora is an online reading platform that is open to all students.  It provides access to ebooks, audiobooks and magazines suitable for all ages and can be accessed via the Sora app or online. The students login with their school email and password.

Accessit
