Passport to Neston

PASSPORT TO NESTON is an exciting and fun-filled 3-day summer school, that has been introduced to support your child’s smooth transition into Neston High School.  The summer school will be held at Neston High from Monday 18th August to Wednesday 20th August 9.00am - 3.00pm.

Passport to Neston is a great opportunity for your child to learn how to navigate their way around our amazing facilities and grounds. Some of the activities that students take part in will include sport, Drama, Science, Maths, English, Computing and Art, as well as orienteering and scaling the climbing wall.  Students will be grouped with their tutor groups/houses, giving them a chance to meet new friends, and an opportunity to get to know our wonderful staff.

The cost of this scheme is £87 per child for the three days, or £32 per single day. The charge for families entitled to free school meals is reduced to £10 per day, £25 for 3 days. The price includes qualified instruction and all materials for activities.  Your child will need to bring the following equipment each day: packed lunch, waterproofs (named), sportswear (named), a pencil case (named).  Parents will need to sign their children out at the end of each day, unless written permission is provided to allow your child to make their own way home. School uniform does not need to be worn (we will forward details in due course, about our Passport to Neston hoodies - available to order, when student ‘houses’ are confirmed).

To secure your child's place, please use this link and register your child using the online application form and pay the fee using on-line banking Passport to Neston Booking Form

The deadline for accepting students on to the scheme is Friday 18th July 2025 at midday and payment must be made by this date.  When payment is received your child will be enrolled on to the scheme and a receipt will be emailed to you by our Finance Team. Places are available for all students in the new cohort.

The transition from primary to secondary school is a very exciting time but can be an unsettled time too. At Neston High School, we strive to make this move as smooth as possible.

PARENT FEEDBACK

“Just a note to say thank you for organising PP2N for all the Y7 students. This has been a fabulous initiative that has been developed for the students to introduce them to Neston High School. Personally for my daughter, this has helped in calming her nerves ready for September and familiarise the students with their teachers, their new classmates and the surroundings.

The past 3 days have been fantastically coordinated by the team at NHS and it is a credit to the hard work and dedication that you and your colleagues put into creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Again thank you for organising it and I really look forward to the coming years of learning at Neston High School.”
