Careers Advice and Action Plan

We believe that very student should have opportunities for guidance interviews with a Careers Adviser, which should be available whenever significant study or career choices are being made. Providing structured personal guidance time within the school enables students to focus on their future dreams and to set goals to achieve them. Access to independent and impartial professional career guidance is strongly valued by students and parents and is a recurring feature of good provision.

At Neston High School, we offer our students in years 11 and 12 impartial careers advice. This offer is outsourced to an impartial provider, MPLOY who send us 2 of their experienced advisors weekly.

In one-to-one bespoke meetings, students will explore career options getting excellent, well-informed and impartial advice. Students each receive an individual follow-up action plan which reflects their conversation and provides advice on the next steps.

ACTION PLAN

Our main aims for our Careers plan are as follows:

1. Prepare students with the tools needed to take the next stage in their journey

2. Students to develop independence while preparing for the world of work

3. Inform students of a wide variety of post 16 options
