Careers Across the Curriculum

We strive to embed Careers within our curriculum rather than seeing it as an add on. To achieve this, Curriculum areas plan explicitly to engage students in thinking about how their subject can lead into the world of work.

Some examples of this include but are not limited to:

Sharing links to real-life careers
Sharing labour market information
Providing opportunities to visit Higher and Further Education settings
Organising trips to places of work within their industry
Inviting guest speakers
Extra-curricular clubs such as MakerSpace and STEM club

We were impressed with how positive, approachable and supportive each teacher was, especially at the end of a very long day for them.

Pupils behave well around the large school site. Sixth-form students enjoy their own spacious study and dining areas.

There is a strong safeguarding culture across the school.
