Parents and Friends of Neston High School

The Parents and Friends of Neston High School (PFNHS) would like to offer a big welcome to all our new parents and students. We look forward to getting to know you all over the next 5 - 7 years!

PFNHS – who we are

The PFNHS is formed by a group of parents and teachers of Neston High, who volunteer their time to arrange fundraising events for the school.

What we do

The PFNHS holds a number of events throughout the school year with the aim of both having fun and raising vital money to put towards all the extras which the school budget cannot cover. This ranges from smaller amounts, for example Bingo events raising approximately £100 to Christmas Fayres raising £5000!

We arrange events for the whole family, and we often help out on other occasions eg. The Senior Citizens Christmas Party.  We also run the 400 club which is a mini school lottery. There are plenty of opportunities for students and parents to socialise, have fun, and raise money.

How you can help

Come along to our events! The more people we have at our events, the more money we can raise to put towards the school. Events are advertised around the school, via email, the newsletter and on the PFNHS Facebook page.
We always need volunteers! Any time you can spare to help with our events would be greatly appreciated. An hour or two helping out at the school fayre or serving refreshments at a school play would be fantastic! We send out volunteer requests a few weeks before each event.

If you would like to become part of the PFNH and help choose and organise events, you would be very welcome. We meet on a regular basis (approximately once a month depending on what needs planning) in the school board room (and sometimes in the pub!!!). The meetings usually start at 7pm. We try to vary the evenings we meet so as to accommodate peoples' commitments. You do not need to commit to every meeting; you can "dip in or out" just come along as and when you can make it.

Look out for our monthly newsletter with an update on meeting dates and times, events etc. Or If you would like further information please do not hesitate to contact the Chair, Maureen Matson:
