Mr Barratt shortlisted for 'Support Staff of the Year'!
Mr James Barratt shortlisted in the category of support staff of the Year', in the prestigious Cheshire School's awards.
It is with great pleasure that we can now announce that Mr James Barratt, our School's IT Services Manager has been shortlisted for 'Support Staff of the Year' in the Trinity Mirror Cheshire School's awards. James is a hugely valuable member of the school's staff and has worked tirelessly at Neston High School to ensure that the IT systems are effective and up to date. Mr Randerson nominated James for this role - and here is just a snapshot of his application.
'James Barratt is a home-grown star at Neston High School. His role is ICT Services Manager, but the job title does not do him justice. He is passionate about this school: he was a student here and has built up his career here. Over the last 2 years James has truly excelled – he seized every opportunity to plan, design and cost an entirely new ICT provision for our new school. James drew up plans for every classroom, library and office showing the layout he had designed. This involved close management of up to 15 separate sub—contractors: Internet Providers, cablers, furniture suppliers, electricians, plasters, plasma screen mounting companies, lighting contractors, CCTV fitters, lift installers, lock fitters to name but a few. He is a humble, unassuming man without whom, the school could not run and he well deserves this prize.'
