Year 8 Buddhists from the Kailash Buddhist Centre Visit

Year 8 have been fortunate to have met with Buddhists from the Kailash Buddhist Centre as part of their Buddhism unit in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics. Along with some guided breathing practice, pupils learnt about the life of the Buddha, the impact that Buddhism has on believers today and had chance to ask questions.  Great questions like, “What are the biggest positives to being Buddhist”, “Do you celebrate birthdays” and “Why do some Buddhist’s wear gold robes and shave their heads” were asked – and answered.  We wish to express our thanks to Neil, Kadam Sue and Kelsana Tenwang for their time.
