Well done class of 2019. Another year of excellect GCSE and BTEC results.

We are celebrating another year of excellent GCSE and Btec results reflecting the hard work and dedication of our students and staff. This was the second year where the majority of subjects were graded under the new system of 9-1 and many hit the top grades. Attainment in English and Maths were very strong this year with 74% in English and 78% in Maths achieving at least standard pass.

There was notable success in many other subjects with over 800 strong passes achieved, as well as 200 top grades (9-7), which included English, English Literature, Maths as well as the separate sciences. We are very proud of the performance of all our students, particularly in these subject areas.

Headteacher Keith Simpson said, ‘These are a fantastic set of results and show the resilience and determination of our students as well as the hard work and determination of the staff at Neston. The new GCSEs are difficult and require real perseverance and it is such a delight to see so many happy faces on results day when the hard work pays off. We are fortunate at Neston High School that we have such an outstanding team of staff and a caring pastoral system that works tirelessly with the students, parents and carers. The class of 2019 has been a delight to work with and everyone here wishes them all the success for the future. We hope to see many of them back in the sixth form which celebrated superb results last week’.
