Our Trustees

The Board of Trustees

As an Academy, Governors are also called 'Trustees' and meet monthly as a 'Board of Trustees'. A number of years ago the Trustees agreed to reduce the number of Trustees and to distinguish between the two key roles of Trustees and Members. The Board consists of  up to 12 Trustees, three Members and two joint Trustees and Members. Together with the Head Teacher they represent parents, staff and the community. They have a wide range of experience and backgrounds and are united in their determination that the school shall excel academically, in sport and in the arts. They are dedicated to the principles of comprehensive education; that the talents of every student, of whatever ability, will be fully developed.

A Message from the Chair of Trustees

On behalf of the Trustees I would like to welcome you to Neston High School. We had some really great results last summer of which we are very proud. These outcomes are a result of all the hard work and effort of parents/carers, teachers and most importantly the students. This partnership is essential in creating the right environment to support all young people achieve their maximum potential.

One of the roles of the Trustees is to set the Vision and Strategic direction of the school in order that we can do our best for all students. You can find this document under the 'About us' section of the website.

The vision of Neston High School is that we are the outstanding, inclusive, 11-18 comprehensive school of first choice for all students from the local community. We aim to develop confident learners with the skills to take ownership of their learning, who are proud of their achievements, and are well prepared for life in modern Britain.

The School has sustained high standards of achievement whilst maintaining a focus on personal development and ensuring each young person is prepared for a future where they will need to continue learning, to be adaptable, resilient and self-confident.  The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

We are proud of the School and its culture which is built on the values of aspiration, community and kindness. However, we always strive to do better.

The Chair and Trustees, individually or collectively, welcome comments. They can be contacted at the school address or by email:

We were impressed with how positive, approachable and supportive each teacher was, especially at the end of a very long day for them.
