Microsoft Teams

Neston High School use Microsoft Teams as the main hub for learning resources and the setting of homework/assignments. All school computers have the Microsoft Teams desktop software already installed. Staff set, monitor, mark and provide feedback on homework electronically and transparently, allowing students to access this easily from any school computer, and at home on their own devices.

Downloading Microsoft Teams

For personally-owned devices, download and install Microsoft Teams, available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android — if not already installed. Whilst Teams has a 'web version', downloading and using the Teams App software gives the best experience.

Download the Desktop app using the link below, or from your App Store on your Apple/Android Device

Logging into Microsoft Teams

Username/Email

Make sure you know your school @ed.nestonhigh.com email address. All students have their own username/email address used for the main IT Systems in school. Students will have been given this during their first IT Lesson at Neston High School. Student email addresses take the form of “username@ed.nestonhigh.com” (e.g. 18thingwallt@ed.nestonhigh.com).

Password

The password you use for Microsoft Teams is the same password you use in school to access the school computers. Please remember: If you change your password in School, this will change it at home for Microsoft Teams and vice versa.

If you have forgotten the password, any teacher can help with this and reset your password. Parents can also request a password reset using the below form.

Sent a code?

When logging in, you may have to verify your account by receiving a code to your school email account. To access your school email account you need to login to Microsoft Outlook using your username and password (as above). The login page can be accessed here:

Password Reset

Important Note: Once you submit a password reset, and it is processed, this will lock the student out of their account until a new password is chosen (using the new temporary password that will be sent to you).

Sometimes students don't remember that the password they use on the school computers is the same synchronized password for accessing Microsoft Teams at home. Please remember that if you change your password in school this will change it at home for Microsoft Teams and vice versa.

If you are prompted for a username or password to access the PASSWORD RESET FORM, please use the username 'parent' and password 'neston'
