Neston High School - a finalist in the 'Cheshire School of the Year Awards', 2018

Another award for Neston High School!

You would think that another award would not be possible, but yes...Neston High School has been shortlisted for the 'Cheshire School of the Year Award', 2018. This should come as no surprise, following the nomination and shortlisting of Miss Kirwan for 'Teacher of the Year', Mr Barratt as 'Support Staff of the Year' and Mr Dool - 'Headteacher of the Year', 2018. All three are down to the last three finalists in their category.

We are delighted that our very special school and its staff are being recognised for the exceptional work we do - here is a short excerpt from the school's application:

'Neston High School has a wonderful reputation within the community and this is because of the day-to-day interactions that staff have with students and their overall experience at Neston High School.  Our staff are not only good at getting children to achieve, sometimes beyond their dreams, but also excellent at providing a really well-rounded education where the arts, culture, sport, leadership, trips and activities all make a very rich learning experience where we pride ourselves on developing children into fine young adults. This is a school with a forward thinking vision and ethos and this year, we have moved into a brand new state-of-the-art building and our sports centre has had a multi-million pound refurbishment, making it the most exciting choice for parents and students for miles around. Neston High School continues to go from strength to strength, whilst continuing to remain a unique school at the heart of a very special community.'
